Fan Content Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. On fan content, if this policy and the Terms of Service conflict, this policy prevails. Capitalised terms are defined in the Terms of Service.
We love it when you make things about the game because you enjoy it. This page explains what you can freely do and where the limits are.
1. What we allow
You can make and share:
gameplay videos and live streams;
screenshots;
guides, tips and reviews;
fan art and similar works.
In these, you can use the game's visuals, sounds and name to show, promote or discuss the game.
2. Making money
You can earn money from your fan content through the ad revenue programme of the platform where you share it (for example, ad revenue sharing on video platforms). You can accept donations or support from your audience.
3. What you can't do
Distribute the game itself, its files or a modified version of it.
Give the impression that your content is official or endorsed by us, or imitate our logo or name.
Sell physical products bearing the game's visuals, name or logo.
Register a domain name containing the name of the game (Asymptote) or of the studio (Silent Variable Studio) in a way that suggests a connection with the game or with us.
Use the game's visuals, sounds or code to make a new game, app or product.
4. The "unofficial" notice
Add this notice to your content's description or another suitable place:

You own the original content you create using the game, but our rights in the game's visuals, sounds, name and other elements that appear in it are preserved. We don't ask you for any right to use your fan content.
If you use things that belong to others in your content (for example, music or other brands), getting their permission is your responsibility.
6. Frequently asked questions
Can I monetise my gameplay videos on YouTube?
Yes. Platform ad revenue is fine.
Can I accept donations on a stream?
Yes.
Can I use the game's music in the background of my video?
In a video showing the game, sounds coming from the game are fine. Using them as background music in content unrelated to the game is not covered by this permission.
Can I print and sell T-shirts with the game's art?
No. Selling physical products is not covered by this permission.
